In my case at least all contacts are there. But some are missing phone numbers, some are missing birthday entries I added using the people app.

Yes. I did like I wrote. I took a backup of the People. After that I took ssh connection from laptop to phone and copied the all.vcf. The content of the file was a big disappointment. I don't know how...

i had a problem when saving the all.vcf to pc (win7), it started to open it up all of the contacts in separate windows...and when i tried to copy it to an old phone (nokia c7) it only copied one...

you have to install “file browser” from the Jolla Store. Remember to permit to show hidden files in “Settings”.

@MattVogt: You are right. I could have run the vcardconverter successfully. But running only `devel-su -p` I expected to see the root prompt. I should read the documentation of `devel-su` :-)
